White Noise Sound Machine - 6 Sounds | Travel-Friendly Sound Therapy Device

This is just to update reveiws since the lates one was several years ago. My family has used a sleep machine every night for years and have one in every bedroom of the house as well as in our children's homes. We first bought the Hammacher Schlemmer version, which runs like an old locomotive, but are a bit big for traveling. This machine is the second HoMedics version for us. I bought the first one in 2013 to take on the road when traveling. We now have one at home and one for me to pack for trips. There are a number of settings, though we prefer the waterfall as it is more constant and sounds more like wind. From 2013 until about 6 months ago I used the first one some 3-4 nights on the road, but have run it every night as a second sound machine in an adjoining room without a single problem. I would recommend this model for anyone who travels and, for us, it has held up to the test of time.

My husband and I have used this every single day and night since it arrived. He works nights so I use it on his nights off when he's home and doing stuff around the house so he doesn't wake me up. He uses it when he sleeps during the day because I'm working from home right now. We have really enjoyed testing out the different sound effects and enjoy rain the most. Setup was incredibly easy - literally just took it out of the box, plugged it in, and good to go! This machine has really made a big difference in our lives.

It does not come with a "Waterfall" option, however the rain and/or white noise substitutes and works well with my waterfall pic and fan blowing palm tree leaves. We have this for our 2.5 y/o, and he's been using it since we brought him home from the hospital! We love it so much that we bought an identical one for our second baby.I specifically love that it has the option to use batteries. We keep it plugged in at home and just pop batteries in it when we take it on road trips or vacations. Battery life is great! We've never had it die on us even when using it all night every night for a week-long vacation. In fact, we keep the same batteries in it for a few vacations with no issue.Needless to say, we recommend.

My son couldn't sleep with his big brothers snoring so we opted for a noise machine to drown out the sound and it worked! This is actually our 3rd machine! Other 2 were different kinds/brands and eventually started messing up one way or another. The volume control is very easy to work and can slowly adjust to barely on to clearly loud. We like the different sound options but he's stuck on the rain storm. Easy and clear 1 touch button to pick sounds. I love that it can be plugged in or batteries in for portable. At home it's plugged in, but we took it with us last vacation and it traveled and worked well on batteries too. Great product at a great price. Saved us from sleepless nights!
